Is there anyone who can explain to me what is Luilak for Amsterdam?(give a different answer) .
This special event, Luilak, is a remnant of a pre-Christian festival celebrating the awakening of spring, and it happens during May, in the early hours on the Saturday before Whit Sunday. all the children go around ringing door bells, making noise and waking people up. The word means "Lazy-bones". :))
