There are plenty of cafes all over Amsterdam, more or less good enough to satisfy the customers, but particularly I enjoyed the De Schutter cafe's ambiance. It is a large student cafe with a brown-cafe look, a relaxed vibe and inexpensive, tasty dagschotels, dishes of the day. It's open for lunch and dinner. Find it on Voetboogstraat 13-15.
