The Felix Meritis Building, a centre for the performing arts, built in 1787 by Jacob Otten Husly for an organization called Felix Meritis - Latin for "Happy through Merit"- can be found in Western Canal Belt part, on Keizersgracht 324. For the ones who wonder what is this about, the Felix Meritis Foundation promotes European performing arts and literature, also there are often musical performances.
