I have heard there are some 16th century towers in Amsterdam. I am interested to find more.(give a different answer) .
You mean the creations of De Keyser, an architect and tower specialist. He created the steeple of the Montelbaastoren and was responsible for another city landmark, the Munttoren, the Mint Tower. On this site stood the 15th century Regulierspoort,a city gate that burned down in 1619 and De Keyser built the tower on what was left from the gate. The tower received its current name in 1673.
