casper in response to soriane's question:
Is there any zoo in Amsterdam?(give a different answer) .
Amsterdam has the Artis Zoo in Plantage district where you can see apes, gazelles, giraffes and elephants, tropical and polar birds, and an insectarium with creatures icky and alluring. There is also an aquarium, the oldest in the country, with some 2000 fish and imposing classical architecture. The zoo's exhibits include an Amazonian flooded forest, a tropical coral reef and an Amsterdam canal. There's a planetarium too, and zoological and geological museums. The entrance fee includes all of these.
