Cool neo-Renaissance buildings, Amsterdam.

Posted 1 year ago by avatar dizzy in response to avatar liquid's question: Who designed the buildings at Reguliersgracht 57-59? According to me they are very beautiful. (give a different answer) .

Well, Isaac Gosschalk was the one to design the buildings at Reguliersgracht 57-59, in 1879 in neo-Renaissance style. The design, at that time for a carpentry firm, is reminiscent of the city's medieval wooden houses. Canal-boat operators say that a midwife lived in the corner house at No 92, decorated with a statuette of a stork.
