the Dutch cuisine in Amsterdam

Posted 1 year ago by avatar claire in response to jhony's question: I would like to learn a bit about the Dutch cuisine, I am curious about it, thank you. (give a different answer) .

The traditional Dutch cuisine concentrates on filling the stomach rather than delighting the taste buds, based on enormous portions of rudimentary meat, potato and vegetables. But contemporary Dutch chefs have made some great strides and what is now called "Dutch" often has echoes far-off, mystical lands. Traditional Dutch dishes include stamppot - mash potatoes with vegetables served with smoked sausages - then is hutspot, similar with stamppot but with carrots, onions, also Erwtensoep, a thick pea soup.
