East of Centraal Station and north of the Medieval Centre, Nieuwmarkt and Plantage areas, the islands of Kattenburg, Wittenburg and Oostenburg are the Eastern Islands of Amsterdam. You can get there by taking the new tram lines 16 or 26. Also the bus lines 22, 32, 39, 43 and 59 run to that area.
