I'm dead if I don't eat at fixed hours. Where can I have a decent dinner and lunch in Groningen?(give a different answer) .
I'm much of a gourmet too, but I prefer to say I have refined tastes...I sometimes go to Groningen for business and I never - obviously - get close to any cooker, so I'm a faithful client for the Ugly Duck restaurant and cafe. The menu includes beef stew, monkfish, spanakopita, pies...I promised to try one of each every time I'm sent to Groningen. It's a cosy place, in a fine street, Zwanestraat 28. Prices don't pose problems: they junggle around 10 - 15 euros.
