There is the Stayokay hostel brand forking off in the entire Netherlands. Haarlem Stayokay is around 21 euros per night (including breakfast, yeah!), and offering some outstanding facilities for energetic globetrotters: the hostel hires out canoes and scooters, as well as bicycles. You really have the chance to change into sporty-spice... the Noorder sports park can also be seen from your room's terrace. Unfortunately, you have to take bus no. 2 from Haarlem Noord to get to the hostel, but it's a 10 minute journey. Or go on foot if you decide to change your lifestyle.
